\n\tThis video contains the Hasegawa-Eishin Ryu, which is the chuden or middle level of Muso Shinden Ryu Iaido. It is the third vido in the “Hidden Secrets of Japanese Swordsmanship” series. This style is presented as it was taught to me by my teacher. Mitsuzuka Takeshi, Sensei of Tokyo, Japan founder and head of the San Shin Kai International.<\/p>\n
\n\tThis cideo contains detailed descriptions of each technique and kata of the Hasegawa Eishin Ryu, as well as their bunkai (applicaiton). Each kata is first performed slowly, and then at regular speed. Each is shown from the front view and also ata another angle for clarity. The footwork of each kata is then shown slowly wothout hakama to releal the complex pivoting and foot mo vements required by the traditional bunkai.<\/p>\n

\n\tAbout the Author:<\/p>\n
\n\tRoger Wehrhahn has been a student of the martial arts since 1969. He has trainde extensively in Karate, Kobudo, Ju Jutsu and Iaito. He became a student of Mitsuzuka Takeshi Sensei in 1984, and has been aearded the rank od Shihan, 6th dan, in Muso Shinden Ryu in the San Shin Kai. He currently heads the North American San Shin Kai and travels across the United States and Canada teaching Iaido.<\/p>\n
