SECRETS OF JAPANESE SWORDSMANSHIP Ugoki Tsuzukeru Katana
BY ROGER WEHRHAHN, SHIHAN
THIS DVD COVERS KATA, BASICS AND APPLICATIONS
Ugoki Tsuzukeru katana was filmed recently in Hazleton, Pennsylvania at a Mountain Teachings Workshop Series seminar. It is outside most Iaido circles, in fact, it is more in the Iaijutsu realm. This standing kata contains 35 movements with multiple blocks and counters executed in several different directions. It is a great training kata as well as an exciting competition and demonstration kata!
The katata is presented sstematically, step-by-step, in chapter form for your learning convenience. There are also chapters covering the bunkai to every move in the kata and a demonstration series!
“I felt the need to share this kata with everyone who practices Iai. I know you’re going to enjoy this unique and dynamic form.”
