This is my 2nd Skyjiro Forge sword. First one was a slightly customized version of this one but made as an iaito.
Received this one directly from Kinzan himself. 30 inch blade with no bohi and a 12 inch tsuka.
Everything about the sword is awesome, but the best part is definitely the tsuka. The ito is wrapped extremely tight, but the shape is what sets it apart from any other vendor. Most other swords I have used have handles that are too round and fat. This handle has a slight taper and a bit narrower allowing for easier rotation of the hands. The menuki are also “reversed” so they fit in your palm. Something that typically costs more to have done.
All in all, a great sword. It will be hard to purchase anything less than this now.

I just received my Taka-Chigai katana and I have to say that after buying swords and katanas for a good twenty years this is by far the tightest assembled, best constructed katana I have ever come across. The blade is flawless and the hamon is sublime. I had mine forged to my specifications and it did take 3 months but it was more than worth the wait now that I see the results. I can’t wait to cut with it.
